  Răzvan Rădulescu, Softenerg: Battery owners must shift from arbitrage to selling energy to those who need it. Battery owners in Romania need to move beyond arbitrage and sell energy directly to the consumers who require it; this is because, over the next five years, neither merchant revenues nor fixed-price contracts will offer any certainty, stated Răzvan Rădulescu, CEO of Softenerg / WEBUS 4 ENERGY, at Romanian BESS on the Fast Track, a workshop organized by Energynomics. “A battery is not just one bucket. It is a collection of 4,196 small buckets, each with its own personality,” Rădulescu remarked. The energy management system monitors every individual cell every few seconds. SOFTENERG gets involved as early as the construction phase and during factory acceptance testing, signing annexes that define the conditions under which the warranty is triggered and specifying how the battery may be utilized.

  The CEO of Softenerg spoke during a panel dedicated to technological innovations for the energy market at the annual conference organized by energynomics.ro. He presented the WEBUS 4 ENERGY solution—featuring the TRADING, SCADA, and EGATE modules—which is used to control renewable energy production and eliminate imbalances directly at the source (i.e., at the producer level).
• CASE STUDY
  During the summit, a recent challenge encountered in our energy production projects was presented as a case study: eliminating imbalances at a production site that shares a single grid connection point but comprises two separate small-scale photovoltaic (PV) plants. These plants utilize different generations of solar panels, inverters from various manufacturers, and feature distinct tilt and azimuth angles. Most significantly, the discrepancy between the installed capacity and the actual panel capacity exceeds 20%.

• ENERGY MARKET AUTOMATION
  At the annual digital conference organized by the North-East Regional Development Agency and the Digital Innovation Zone, we presented a business case demonstrating how our platform reduces the investment payback period from 6 years to 2 years. The WEBUS platform automates the entire process—from calculating financial quotes to generating the actual proposals sent to the client. ANRE (the Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority) has established specific timeframes for generating and responding to quote requests; the platform monitors all relevant quality indicators, ensuring that the user does not exceed legally mandated deadlines and avoids penalties for non-compliance.
• CUSTOMER RELATIONS
  The Call Center uses the platform to manage both existing and potential customers. Inquiries and support tickets are routed to the appropriate departments and monitored to ensure adherence to quality indicators, in accordance with current legislation.

• CONTRACTING
  The contracting module manages all processes following the acceptance of offers by beneficiaries. Specifically, the platform automatically populates contracts, generates them in PDF format, and sends them out for signature; once signed, all information and the signed documents are stored. Subsequently, the system handles the processing of the contract to ensure its proper execution and the commencement of the delivery of contractual benefits.
• CUSTOMER RELATIONS
  Call-center representatives handle inquiries, which the platform processes in accordance with legal requirements regarding performance indicators—metrics that economic operators are required to report on a monthly basis to the relevant authorities.
